Buying Tips
- If you travel a lot for business or pleasure, consider purchasing a device that is light in weight, has automatic altitude adjustment and runs off of either 110 or 220 electrical currents. Also, some devices can operate using a DC adapter for those who like to camp out or sleep in motor homes. Other PAP devices that run off of either a deep cycle marine battery or a built in lithium battery are excellent travel partners.
- When you find a mask style that you like best, it is a good idea to have a second "back up" mask so that if a part should break, you will still be able to get a good night's sleep. Also, a second mask is good to have if the first mask has not dried completely from an earlier cleaning. Additionally, manufacturers are constantly updating and improving on mask styles and may stop production on a certain style of mask as a new one becomes available, so obtaining the same mask may be difficult in the future. We can help you find a comparable mask if yours becomes obsolete.
- Many PAP devices come with extra features that you may or may not use such as memory of record usage sessions, compliance meters, pressure usage, and leak information. If you are an experienced or an adherent PAP user, these features may cost a little more and may be considered optional.
